Happy Birthday!

It's official! Cade is a year old! He had a great day. Although it started out kind of boring (furniture shopping with mom and dad and grandma and grandpa Wedekind) it ended up being a great time. We had a cookout with both sets of grandparents as well as the Zunigas (family friends/babysitters). He had a pretty ugly little cupcake to eat but that didn't seem to bother him, he ate it right up. Here's a funny photo of Cade walking while carring a fork AND a spoon. What talent! He has to carry the fork and spoon with him everywhere because, as you can see, he can't afford to miss a meal!

Almost One!

Here are some cute photos of Cade. He's doing great. Seems like he's grown a bit and put on some weight. Here he's letting his cousin Lily feed him; watching fireworks (which he took very seriously); hanging out at Home Depot; and practicing walking. I wish I knew how to insert captions below the pics. Moving to New Mexico!

Sorry, I know it's been awhile. We got side-tracked by our cross-country move. Cade was a real trooper and hardly fussed at all in the car. He actually slept a lot and spent some quality time with Grandma Sandee in the back seat of the car. Since arriving in NM he's spent lots of time with Grandma and Grandpa Sullivan and has adapted well to all of his new surroundings. Last week he enjoyed a visit from his cousins Lily and Sully. He was mesmerized by the 4th of July fireworks display put on by Sully and Uncle Pat. Cade is pretty close to walking. He can stumble from one person to another pretty well but needs to work on his control. We'll give him a break, he's not even one yet! But that day is coming soon.
