Kids are hard and frustrating

Sometimes baby boys can be quite challenging. Sometimes parents can lose their temper.
Sometimes babies can surprise you with everything they understand and learn. Well, all of these things happened the other day. Cade had been crying for about 90 minutes and not a single thing could ease the pain that that gripped his aching heart. Finally my last nerve wore through and I yelled at him, "Put a cork in it!!!" ... and the rest is documented in photo evidence below.

Meeting New Folks

Cade finally met his Aunt Colleen and Uncle Chris. Colleen came to visit over Veterens' Day weekend and we met up with Chris in Gatlinburg, TN for Thanksgiving. Cade went on some nice hikes in TN and seems to enjoy being outside. He definately enjoys all of the attention he receives from his many admirerers.

In other news, Cade had his four month check-up this week. He weighed in at 12 pounds and 8 ounces and is 241/2 inches long. Doc says he's fine but Dad wants him to beef up a bit. So he had his first meal of rice cereal Thursday night. I don't know if he actually digested any of it but he had a lot of fun spitting it back out. I'm sure it was just the beginning of many messy meals to come.
